Directory not available

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open OwnCloud web.

  2. Click on a folder containing files.

  3. Get error message “Directory not available, contact your administrator”

Expected behaviour

I should see the files, because in the client, they are there. Also: I didn’t delete anything.

I didn’t update and I didn’t share the folder. It is a folder where I keep my Zotero files, so it is used by the Zotero clients on my Mac and the Windows clients.

Actual behaviour

Can’t open the folder in the webpage. Also, I think syncing stopped in general because of this. I can add folders or folders through the website, but not through de client (on MacOS AND on Windows). The new files don’t show up in the client folders.

Server configuration

Operating system:

MacOS 10.14.2 (Mojave) (at home) / Windows 10 (at work)

Database:

MySQL

PHP version:

7.2.12

ownCloud version: (see ownCloud admin page)

ownCloud 10.0.10 (stable)

Updated from an older ownCloud or fresh install:

Fresh install, not updated.

Where did you install ownCloud from:

Signing status (ownCloud 9.0 and above):

Login as admin user into your ownCloud and access

Result: “No errors have been found.”

The content of config/config.php:

Are you using external storage, if yes which one: local/smb/sftp/…

No.

Are you using encryption:

No.

Are you using an external user-backend, if yes which one: LDAP/ActiveDirectory/Webdav/…

Webdav, for Zotero.

Client configuration

Browser:

I tried Firefox, Chrome, Safari, but the problem is with the syncing of the client, so this is not relevant I think.

ownCloud,Er trad een fout op bij het openen van een map zotero: Error transferring https://owncloud.taxiclette.be/owncloud/remote.php/dav/files/Taxicletter/zotero - server replied: Internal Server Error

I discovered it has something to do with the number of files. I downloaded the folder from the browser. That was possible, including all the containing files, although I couldn’t open the folder itself.
When I re-created the folder and put the folder back in, everything worked until I reached close to 1000 files. Then it would behave the same as mentioned above.
