Exclude folders in External Storage

Hi, let’s say I have a directory in my External Storage called PARENT. It contains multiple subdirectories called CHILD1, CHILD2, etc. I want USER 1 to have access to all the folders in PARENT so my External Storage settings is straightforward, I simply add PARENT as a local share and set it to be available for USER1.

Now I want USER 2 to have access to all folders except CHILD1. Is there a way of doing this?

To my knowledge no. You could share specific folders to specific users though.

If it’s an external storage you can set the required permissions in the actual external storage. Just make sure ownCloud uses different accounts for different users in order to access to the external storage.
The folder will likely be visible, but access is prevented by the external storage, not ownCloud.
