There is now a 3rdparty addon available for Outlook offering Calendar & Contact Sync with Outlook:

Within the app you can choose the "NextCloud" profile which will also work for ownCloud

I can heartily recommend this, I've been using it for around a year now and it works flawlessly. It is being actively maintained and updates itself automatically.

Do you see Free/Busy states of persons in planning? It’s the only thing that does not work…
