i am new in using ownCloud.
My question is, why the menu item “Documents” is missing in my free version.
Is it only part of the enterprise edition?

Is Providing Default Files what you’re looking for? That’s free, but it needs to be setup by the administrator.
In any case, it’s just a regular folder that any user can create.
No, i would like to work on an document with other users.
By default, Documents is a top-level folder, not a menu item. Or didn’t I fully understand your issue?
Then you have to share your Documents folder with other users or groups.
