Moving install to new server

Hi There, Hoping I can find someone to point me in the right direction here.

I have successfully installed Owncloud on a new server, same configuration as the my test environment. In my test environment I had LDAP working as I wanted however I am having issues getting it working on the new server.

If anyone can lend a hand I would be very grateful

Thanks

If you would give more information, I am sure that people would be glad to help you.

What was your test environment, what is your new environment?

Are you trying to connect to an AD or an LDAP? Do you want encrypted or unencrypted connection?

What version of ownCloud are you using?

Thanks for the reply.

test environment was and is the same as production.

Ubuntu 17.04

I am connecting to Active Directory using Openldap as per the instructions.

owncloud version looks like 9.1

Please let me know if you need more information.

Thanks

ownCloud 9.1.5?

Can you share with me what instructions you are using? You actually don't need openldap to connect ownCloud to an AD.

And why not ubuntu 16.04 LTS?

Dmitry,

I am using 9.1.6 (stable)

Looks like I was using the Owncloud 10 instructions, not sure how that happens.

When I go to enable LDAP I get the following error:
This app cannot be installed because the following dependencies are not fulfilled:
The library ldap is not available.
Thanks

Try this

apt install -y php7.0-ldap

also this is the 9.1 doc

here are the package installation part

when cou click on the link below
"See Manual installation details for multiple distros, ownCloud 9.0 and 9.1 for installation hints for Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, RHEL 7.2 and SLES 12."

you get

here

where the LDAP module is listed

It's a little complicated

edit: and I will work on making it easy

Dmitry,

Thank you so much for the assistance. This has worked. I have it all setup now.

You are amazing
