New files creating .part file since 9.0.8 upgrade

Now that I have upgrade to 9.0.8, my clients are now getting error when syncing. The server has .part files for new files, and I am seeing a red x on the files in windows explorer. On the client log, I am seeing this error.

Internal Server Error (Could not obtain lock type 2.

Please report such issues popping up after an upgrade directly to the the developers of ownCloud reachable via the bugtracker at [1].
