PDF files show a blank page

Hello, I’m having troubles visualizing pdf files from OwnCloud. When I try to open the files I have only a blank page. This bug occurs only when I open pdf files coming from a scanner or from jpgs converted in pdf file; conversely the pdf files produced by various softwares (Indesign; QuarXPress; Illustrator) are correctly visualized. Thank you for helping me.

Expected behaviour
Show contents of a pdf file readable and uncorrupt (correctly readable with Acrobat)

Actual behaviour
Clicking on the file the viewer shows only blank pages

Steps to reproduce

  1. upload a pdf file
  2. click on it

it looks to me that you only have partly filled out the information and there are various info about your environment missing.

Where do you experience those issues? In the web UI?

In the web UI, ownCloud uses the PDF.js library. You could check if your file works in their demo:

If it’s also not working, please open a bug report in their project.
If it’s working there, and the problem is only in ownCloud, please send an example file, information about the browser you’re using, and information about your ownCloud version.
