Same shared Document folder for all users

For shure a newbie problem, but I setup OwnCloud including 5 users with sharing privilege.
Now whenever any of them logs in and puts any document in the “Document” Folder, all other users see not only one Document Folder, but a futher one with a (x) index.

Could that be changed such as for all users only one Documet folder is shown / used?

Can you please post screenshots or a video of the behavior?

Normally each user has his own home directory with the skeleton folder from the server (Documents | Photos). Do you share the documents folder of your admin user with the (not yet logged in) users?

This is expected behavior. The user gets a folder Documents created by ownCloud, and you share a folder with the same name to the user as well. You could create another folder (folder name) and share it with the users to avoid that.

Another possibility would be not to provide the users with a skeleton folder at login. But this will only take effect for new users, the user directories that are already there now will remain.

You can also delete the folders in the backend and then work with occ files:scan.
