423 locked for some files

Hi everyone,

I’m aware that some other people had similar problem but I could not understand the solutions provided.
I’ve been using a server provided by my university for 3 years with no major problem to synchronize my files across 2 computers. I use desktop version 5.3.1.14018.

Recently, synchronization stopped working for some files (and only some files). The files in question are nothing special compared to other files that work well.
On the computer I modified the file, I get 423 locked error. On the computer I’m trying to synchronize the file to, I get 404 not found and I cannot access the file through web app either.
Weird thing is, I tried copying the problematic file, then the synchronization worked on the copied file, and a couple hours later it got locked again.

When suggesting a solution, please kindly bear in mind that I’m dumb in the head with the computers.

i think if this is not an own server then i think you need to contact the support of your university for any help / solution because i don’t think that you can’t do much without having access to the server :slightly_frowning_face:

I think the only thing you could do from user side is to check which ownCloud version your university is running and if the most recent version 10.5.0. From what i know this info is available if you are logging into your ownCloud interface or if you are appending /status.php to the URL / domain where you are logging in.
