Activity notification loop - email sent to all every 30 mins

Hoepfully somebody can help. I have 153 users , most of them new, who have not set their activity defaults. All of a sudden they receive the same email notification ever 30 mins in a loop.

Anybody with a comment of what could have caused it. And how to deactivate it
