Anonymous access to owncloud server

I need to know if it is possible to access a owncloud server without an account. I want to have a owncloud server in a university intranet, so that teachers have accounts and share educational resources, so that students can anonymously access, view and download resources, but students can not modify or upload anything, just download.

Students will not have an account on the server. I want them to make anonymous access, is that possible?

Hi, you can share files and folders by link to external users like shown here: https://doc.owncloud.org/server/latest/usermanual/files/access_webgui.html#file-controls

When sharing a folder you can give "Allow editing" permissions or not which is probably the functionality you're looking for.
