App won’t remove notification/badge

I got an issue with owncloud mobile app V12.2.1 Build 291 on iPhone 11 Pro with iOS 17.6.1

I had an old installation of the app which showed a badge on the app icon, because of sync errors:

I had to uninstall and reinstall the app but the badge is still visible and won‘t go away.

I tried another reinstallation, an iOS update, device restart - without success.

I even can’t disable the badges/notifications in the OS as there is no such option in the iOS settings available:

Any ideas how I can get rid of the badge?

pretty weird, since an app removal erases everything from the app in the device. After checking with iOS expert, it points more to an OS problem. We will post if any other idea comes to us.

Thanks for checking.

I tried a few things during the last days, but nothing helped. And now the badge is suddenly gone - without me doing anything.

Don’t know what happened exactly, but I‘m fine with that.
