Auto sync camera gallery?

Is there a way to have the android app auto sync my existing camera gallery to a folder on my owncloud deployment?
It wasn't obvious how to tell it to sync that

I guess this is still impossible? owncloud is useless w/o this.

seems to me that an answer and a solution was already provided in a different thread you have found:

I think that’s how auto upload is designed to be. If you want to upload everything in your camera folder, just use the normal upload. I personally use foldersync for it’s large number of configuration options and owncloud app to view file afterwards.

that’s a manual process, it should automatically do this. oh well. I’ll look elsewhere for this capability. seems owncloud is dead.

i think you can always ask the android app developers for such a functionality or ask for some background why this is not possible (yet). Maybe its even planned or already on their roadmap and you just don’t know it?
