Big Files Download Errors

Steps to reproduce
* I am trying to download a big file (over 1~3GB) through web interface by clicking (...)>Download
* I am trying to synchronise a big file (over 1~3GB) through synchronisation client

Expected behaviour
Download/Sync succeeds

Actual behaviour
Download/Sync is being dropped after couple of GBs

Server configuration
Operating system: Raspbian (Debian)
Web server: Apache/2.4.10 (Raspbian)
Database: mysql Ver 14.14 Distrib 5.5.44, for debian-linux-gnu (armv7l) using readline 6.3
PHP version: 5.6.19-0+deb8u1 (cli) (built: Apr 2 2016 20:48:04
ownCloud version (see ownCloud admin page): 9
Updated from an older ownCloud or fresh install: from 8.2
Special configuration (external storage, external authentication, reverse proxy, server-side-encryption): External local storage

500 - Internal Server Error

Raspbian is a 32-bit system, 32-bit php comes with a 2 GB limit on these platforms.

RPi3 has 64-bit processors but there is no 64bit-OS yet (some people working on it). Seems there is already SuSE enterprise: http://www.recantha.co.uk/blog/?p=15897

Fedora 25 is available for AArch64:

I don't think it is the issue. I had that issue before, than if file was bigger than 2GB it was downloading exactly 2GB, now it drops after a random size. Also it doesn't drops if I am downloading couple files at once instead of one

I don't have another Raspberry Pi to install now another OwnCloud service
