My computer knowledge is such that I THINK I know what I am doing but not sure that I KNOW what I am doing!
I have an installation of Owncloud on a hosted shared server and use the OC client on Windows 10 to run it.
I f I connect to the webspace using FTP, I can see that there are numerous files which appear to be part of uploads (presumably ‘chunks’?) in directories named uploads/web-file-upload-‘random string’. Most files are 10MB.
I presume these files are no longer of use as, if the ‘chunks’ had been assembled correctly, the uploaded file would have been reconstituted and if not, they would be the dross of an aborted upload.
I am a little apprehensive about deleting them, as the last thing I would want to do is screw up the rest of the OC installation.
Any advice would be gratefully received.
I have tried to find the answer in these forums but couldn’t find it in the context of a hosted shared server.
