Cant add events in calendar in fresh installation of OC 9



Please help us by providing the following info. Before posting please also check the pinned "Known issues" threads and make sure that you're running the latest available version for your oC release:

Steps to reproduce
1. fresh install of OC 9.1.1
2.Fresh install of calendar
3. add event to calendar

Expected behaviour
Tell us what should happen
Event should appear on screen after pressing update
Actual behaviour
Tell us what happens instead
nothing appears on that date
Server configuration
Operating system:linux
Web server: 2.6.32-604.30.3.lve1.3.63.el6.x86_64 - webhost
Database: mysql
PHP version: 7
ownCloud version (see ownCloud admin page): 9.1.1
Updated from an older ownCloud or fresh install:fresh

three pointers:

  • Check various browsers (Internet Explorer and Edge for example are not supported in the Calendar app)
  • Check the WebDAV interface of your browser with the litmus test explained here:
    -- > Shared hosters / webhosters are known that they have quite often broken setups for such WebDAV connections which is causing such issues
  • Check the error console of your browser for possible errors when creating this event
