Can't upload or create file

I just installated owncloud on a raspberry pi following this guide:

It was all working before I move my data folder on a external HD!
Now if I try to create a file from webgui or to upload it says it's impossible because it can't find the file!

After doing a fresh installation the same still might happen. Then have a look at the following FAQ:

Can't create or write into the data directory / Can't write into config directory! / Data directory (/mnt/data) is invalid

Just done it before install wizard and all is working!
