Centos 7 client

Hello all,

what happened to the Centos7 client? The repository url http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/isv:/ownCloud:/desktop/CentOS_7/
has gone broke

Regards

Ah, sorry for the disruption. We had a 7.5 compatibitlity issue there. We can only produce packages for 7.6 and up any more.
The CentOS_7 repo was thus replaced with a CentOS_7.6 repo.
Unfortunately I could not find a way how to provide a redirect from the old name to the new name. That breaks online updates where the repo is registered.

Please replace
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/isv:/ownCloud:/desktop/CentOS_7/
with
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/isv:/ownCloud:/desktop/CentOS_7.6/

Please let us know if that works for you.

Ah, thanks. Centos 7.6 is fine.

However, the repo does seem to be missing files. Most important the client itself

ouch. The build service is stuck.

I’ll fix that in a minute.

The fix is done from my side. Now we have to patiently wait until OBS builds and publishes the CentOS_7.6 deliverables.

Done. https://software.opensuse.org//download.html?project=isv%3AownCloud%3Adesktop&package=owncloud-client now has a nice and shiny CentOS-7.6

Unfortunatly I’m getting a segfault on start on the two centos 7.6 machines I tried it on.

Last section of strace below. I’m not allowed to attach files

Edit: Upgraded the machines to 7.8 (yum upgrade): same result

Any update on this issue? As said, the client is not usable.
The only available client for Centos7 as of now is 2.3.3 from the epel-repository.

Can you reproduce the issue in a fresh centos 7.8 installation? If yes, please open a github ticket, thanks!

client-2.6.1 has a reproducable segfault. client-2.6.0 and client-2.6.3 both work fine for me. Details see https://github.com/owncloud/client/issues/7867
