Clarification regarding "End-User License Agreement for ownCloud Infinite Scale"

I was talking with a friend and it was mentioned to me the web site “is it really FOSS?” that has a entry about ownCloud Infinite Scale and a link to the “End-User License Agreement” that says

You must not install and use ownCloud Infinite Scale for Commercial Use.

I’m not a lawyer but I’m familiar with the edge cases of “End-User License Agreement” versus software license.

Could some clarification be provided? Thanks!

Hey Raniere
Good question - Let me look into this and get back to you.
I hadn’t seen this myself before, but I suspect this may be a remnant of an older EULA.

I’ll see what I can find out about this.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention!

Hey Raniere
Thank you for your patience on this, I wanted confirmation before responding here.
I checked and this basically does not align with the Open Source licensing that oCIS uses.
We are working on getting the EULA removed completely.
This should happen soon.

Thank you so much for bringing it to our attention!
