Hello everyone,
I am looking to upgrade Owncloud to its latest version and I see that we can now edit one document with 2 or more users at the same time.
I just want to know if this is possible when we open a document on local.
Thanks

Yes, you can install Collabora Online in parallel. The community/developer edition is called CODE. https://www.collaboraoffice.com/code/
Works pretty nice in the meantime …
So you are telling me that if I download the desktop client of Owncloud and I synchronize my document on local I can see whoever is editing it ?
Collabora seems to be really fine but we are actually with Office Suite. Will it be possible to edit and see others doing it ?
That is different. In this case you have asynchronous editing and 2 people would be able to coordinate themselfs. Collaborative editing = 2 people edit at the same time is what I was trying to describe.
Alright. So when we open a document under Owncloud’s folder on a local computer, we can’t be in collaborative mode. We always need to open it on the web interface.
Thank you for your answer @hodyroff
