Confirmation response from WebDAV MKCOL

I’m writing an app to control ownCloud via WebDAV, and when I create a folder with MKCOL, I get no response from the server when it’s successful. Is there some way to get a success confirmation? I do get a response when it fails, but I think assuming no response means success could be problematic.
