in which table/field I can retrieve the public IP address from which a shared file has been downloaded?
I looked in every single table, but I didn't find it.

In your webserver logfile for sure. I don't think that it is logged somewhere in the database.
Yes, you're right. This is not logged within the database.
It's a design decision (not having IP logged inside the DB) or should I create a "feature request" for that?

Most likely by design as such stuff is generally not logged in the database. You're still free to create a feature request either at:
