Same problem as this thread:
I guess the owncloud sync client is more then a simple "webdav-client" and there are most likely strong reasons why such a newer version is enforced. Until you want to shoot yourself into your feed its probably strongly discouraged to use such outdated version like 2.1.1
The solutions there does not help.

The latest version of owncloud sync client on Jessie is still not supported by Owncloud 10.0.3.
Installing the client from the Stretch repo is not an alternative because the dependencies is breaking the rest of the system.

1. Try do install latest version of the Owncloud Sync client on a debian 8 based distro
2. Run Owncloud 10.0.3

Installing it from backports works.
