"Delete all files?" Message randomly

Hi Everyone,

i am providing an ownCloud infrastructure for ~800 users. Some users complaining about a “Remove all files?” message, when starting the ownCloud Sync-Client. It appears randomly across all types of operating systems (Linux,Windows,Mac)

Some users tell me, they are starting the Sync-Client and the message appears. Some users get it once, some get this message twice.

Iam figuring out how to reproduce this behavior but i have no clue right now.

Client configuration
Client version: 2.3.1

Server configuration
Operating system: RHEL 7.2
Web server: Apache
Database: Postgresql 9.3.13
PHP version: 7.0.16
ownCloud version: 9.1.4

ownCloud log (data/owncloud.log)

Unfortunately, there is no error or special things in the server logs which are pointing to the problem.

Any thoughts?

What storage are you using? Any connection issues there?

Hi,

thanks for your reply. I am using a Storage System called dCache. The storage is mounted over NFS 4.1.

I don’t see any connection issues there but it is noticeable that users with multiple sync-clients on different devices get this message randomly (even without changes within the folder sync directory).
