Delete more than one contact at once

Hello,

I imported several vcf files to the adressbook / Contacts app (> 1000).
How can I delete all of them again? I only can select one at a time (holding shift doesn’t do anything) and I can’t find any option with “delete all” or something?

Hi,

you can delete multiple contacts with a CardDAV client like Thunderbird + SOGO Connector.

A feature to delete multiple contacts from the contacts app is currently not available:

This is basically a wishlist to be able to select more than one contact at a tim…e from the web ui. Mainly, my personal usecase is for selecting multiple contacts to delete, and for selecting multiple people from the same organization and enter that once instead of over and over again. I imagine that the workflow would be ctrl/cmd/shift/long clicking the contacts (depending on the platform), which would then bring up something that looked like the contact display, but with "Various" or a similar word for each field where different contacts contained differing information. Any field should be able to be updated though, updating for all selected contacts.

I would do it directly in the database. Drop the table and create a new one.
