Delete more than one contact at once

Hello,

I imported several vcf files to the adressbook / Contacts app (> 1000).
How can I delete all of them again? I only can select one at a time (holding shift doesn't do anything) and I can't find any option with "delete all" or something?

you can delete multiple contacts with a CardDAV client like Thunderbird + SOGO Connector.

A feature to delete multiple contacts from the contacts app is currently not available:

I would do it directly in the database. Drop the table and create a new one.
