Desktop client not saving password

I upgraded from Kubuntu 24.04 to 25.04 (beta), every time owncloud is opened i need to input my password, guessing this has something to do with kwallet being upgraded from vs 5 to 6, anyone know a solution to this?

$ apt-cache policy owncloud-client
owncloud-client:
  Installed: 5.3.2.15463
  Candidate: 5.3.2.15463
  Version table:

my server version is ownCloud 10.11.0 running on ubuntu server 22.04

Have you tried to create an App password instead of using the primary user password?
Settings → Security → App passwords / tokens

no, but same issue persist

Then create an App password. It may resolve your issue.

when i said ‘same issue persist’ i mean i tried it after you said to try it

Oh, I did not get that from your reply.
Does the user account have 2FA enabled?

nope, just my systems on my local lan use it

suddenly it looks like it stopped asking me, i think explicitly logging out of my account in the app fixed it
