Desktop client popup notifications

Is there a way to remotely disable popup notifications of file modifications/deletions of the desktop client?
I know that it is possible to do it form within the application settings but I would need to do it from the control panel of the Owncloud server

Hey,

i don’t think that the ownCloud server is currently capable to push such configuration to the client.

First it needs some foundational technology to allow this. With this framework in place, it would be possible to configure notification behaviour on the ownCloud server. There are requests for other client features to be configured on the sever that I would prioritise higher than the notification setting.

@Marco_Walker Could you elaborate on your use case? What is the real-world problem you’re trying to solve?
