Downloading when viewing files

Actual behaviour

  • when viewing any files, files automatically downloaded and marked in green.

Expected behaviour

The files should be deleted from local storage after opening.

Environment data

ownCloud app version: 2.12

What ist the reason for this? I know that an old post exist, but there was no directly answer.

Can you link what you are referring to?

If you click on a link with a PDF in the browser of your choice on your smartphone, it will usually download the file to Downloads before viewing as well. Don’t really see why ownCloud should be different there.

But when you see a photo or video is downloaded for your device. Is there any way this won’t happen?
