Encrpytion on files made locally

Goodday everyone.

Currently I use Cryptomator and OCIS on a VPS for my cloud-storage needs. It works well.

I want my VPS to make a report and save an encrypted version onto OCIS. Unfortunately, I can’t really find a great solution.

I used to use the encryption app on the original version of Owncloud, but it looks like there is no equivalent on here

Is there anyway to do this, that doesn’t involve keeping my keys stored in the same drive as the files?

Anyone have any ideas?

I don’t think oCIS provides anything for it. If I remember correctly, the idea was to use the encryption capabilities of the underlying FS. Since the encryption is expected to be completely handled by the FS, oCIS doesn’t need to do anything about it.

Unfortunately, I don’t have experience with encrypted FS, so I won’t be of much help. You might want to check Full disk encryption (FDE) - Ubuntu security documentation and/or List of cryptographic file systems - Wikipedia
