Folders set to store local, get reset and are reset to virtual - ubuntu 18.04

Expected behaviour

I set a few folders to keep locally. The files are downloaded and are no longer virtual.

Actual behaviour

I set a few folders to keep locally. The files are downloaded and are no longer virtual. But then either I update or when I restart (not sure what is the exact cause) but I’ll come back a day later and all my folders and files are virtual.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Haven’t been able to duplicate other than waiting a day.

Hey,

have you tried the new version 2.6 (it seems the used version of the client is currently missing in the template) which got releases most recently by the ownCloud team:

It seems its changelog contains various entries with fixes for the VFS functionality. AFAIK this was marked by the ownCloud team as “experimental” as well so any previous version might be not suitable for productive use of the VFS functionality.

Running 2.6.0 build 1714.

Still seems to be an issue. I believe it’s when I reboot the device it removes all the files and then I have to remark the folder as save locally.

Hey,

maybe there is still a bug in this functionality? I think it could make sense to notify the ownCloud team about this at https://github.com/owncloud/client/issues
