Heavy Folder List | Checking for changes first sync need more than 24 hours

Hi everyone,

I’m starting using Owncloud as our private cloud. We have a heavy folder structure that has been used by onedrive and we are moving it to Owncloud but we are having some issues on the first sync. We need more than 24 hours for the “Check for changes in remote” process finish and start downloading information.

The forlder that we are trying to sync have 120Gb and probably more that 100000 folders.

Is there any way to change client to check more than one folder at a time?

Bellow information about the server and the client:

Server configuration

CPU: 8

Memory: 32Gb

Operating system: CentOS

Web server: Apache

Database: MariaDB

PHP version: 7.2

ownCloud version: 10.3.2

Storage: Internal Storage (SSD Disks)

Client configuration

Client version: 2.6.0

Operating system: Windows 10

OS language: EN

Thanks for your time.
Regards,

Currently this is how it works. We were thinking about “inifinite propfind” but didn’t proceed with it for now to save the server from overload. Our priority is to have reliable sync, have sync as a virtual file system to save disk space as quite some customers have even larger amounts of data in the meantime.

We are also experimenting with a new set of APIs “CS3 APIs” for ownCloud Infinite Scale. Please start here if you are interested: What is nexus? And where did it come from?
