I’m running the latest version of OCIS as a Bare Metal Deployment. I tried connecting the ownCloud Client on macOS and Windows. After connecting I choose the manual sync option and the client freezes as soon as the list with spaces to choose for sync pops up. I noticed a very high usage of RAM in Taskmanager (about 3-4 GB). My OwnCloud instance hosts about 1300 Spaces with a space picture in each space and about 30.000 files. I can use OCIS without a problem in Browser. I only need the personal space for sync.
The client freezing during the manual sync option could be due to the large number of spaces and files in your OwnCloud instance, causing high RAM usage. Since you only need the personal space for sync, try narrowing down the sync scope to just the personal space. This might reduce resource usage and improve client performance.
