I just updated owncloud server on my debian wheezy pc, and now I cannot connect to anything. I get the pink box that says ' failed to connect to ownCloud a http://*************/ownCloud/status.php:Host unreachable.

Can you connect via browser? Is your webserver still running? From Wheezy to Jessie a few things changed so you perhaps need to adjust some configurations to make it run.
