How do I enable users to connect to Owncloud server using IPaddress and port?

Trying to find exact documentation on enabling users to connect to Owncloud server using IPaddress and port 8080

The standard for this is to use [protocoll]://[hostname]:[port], so e.g. https://<servername>:8080.

Have you tried this?

Also can you please provide some more information? Which clients are in use by your end users?

Thanks for the update… I’m an ownCloud novice so just trying to get to grips with the Documentation before I venture further so no idea about clients etc yet.
