Hi, i have installed fail2ban in owncloud v9.0.1 (freenas PBI). fail2ban work great, but owncloud log only ip of my router not external ip (use NAT and port forward to access owncloud from internet). Therefore i can not block right ip in ipfw. How to setup owncloud to log external ip adress of clients?
As far as I know, this is the normal behaviour of a NAT network. From the view of the server, all requests were coming from the router. I dont think that this can be changed. The only solution that I know is to connect the server to the internet directly.
