How to pause owncloud client using owncloudcmd script

Please provide me command to pause owncloud client.

I assume this isn't possible:

ownCloudcmd is for sync on demand and has no influence on the ownCloud client.

Is anyother way to pause it like using task scheduler ?

Why not kill and restart as needed?
