I couldn't open the file with VFS

I activated VFS on a folder and double clicked the files on my local computer. First blue recycle icon came(It’s probably downloading at that moment), then came the green tick icon, but the file extension didn’t change and file didn’t open. I think I missed a step while using VFS. Do you guys have any suggestion?
I just opened VFS and double clicked the local file, should I’ve done any more than this? Thanks guys.

@ozata this is the client you built yourself? compare with the official one from ownCloud?

It’s the official 2.6.3 I downloaded from the site with the demo owncloud server.
