Impossible to view videos from external network

Hi,

We have an issue while trying to play videos stored on Owncloud, from the WAN. It doesn't load, then at my opinion when the server reach the timeout, an error message is displayed in the bottom of the video window: "The video could not be loaded, either because the server or network failed or because the format is not supported". From the LAN, there is no problem, we can play the video instantly. Another question: Impossible de play .AVI files, when clicking, it starts download.

Steps to reproduce
1. Connect on external network
2. Log on Owncloud
3. Try to play a video

Expected behaviour
Video should be played instantly.

Actual behaviour
The video doesn't starts, an error message is displayed .

Server configuration
Operating system: CentOS7
Web server: Apache2
Database: PostGreSQL
PHP version: 5.5
ownCloud version (see ownCloud admin page): 9.1.4
Updated from an older ownCloud or fresh install: updated
Special configuration : auth LDAP, reverse-proxy.

I'm guessing '10.1.19.196' is your reverse proxy? What happens when you by-pass this and view the video from ownCloud directly?

In the logs there are 2 messages which could cause problems:

Are you using self-signed certificates anywhere?

Is ownCloud in maintenance mode?

We use a self-signed certificate for LAN connections, but for web access we bought a third-party signed certificate.

No, the @ip 10.1.19.196 is my desktop client IP, reverse is in our DMZ and have a C class IP... But i think there is a reverse proxy issue too...

Onwcloud isn't in maintenance mode, maybe it's an old log :wink:

EDIT: for respond to your question, we tried to reproduce some cases and the issue happens when we play the video in local too...

EDIT2: the maintenance mode was apparently enabled in occ, so i ran the cmd: sudo -u apache php occ maintenance: mode --off
But the issue is not solved :confused:
