Internal PDF viewes show only blank pages?

Hello, probably its a bit stupid but I do not see the internal PDF perviewer working in my fresh owncloud installation. To me this looks like some module or library is misising? But which?

Steps to reproduce
1. Upload PDF doc
2. Click on document

Expected behaviour
PDF document should be shown by internal PDF viewer

Actual behaviour
blank page appears

Server configuration
Operating system: CentOS 7.2
Web server: apache 2.4.18
Database: MariaDB 5.5.50
PHP version: 5.5.21
ownCloud version 9.1.0
Updated from an older ownCloud or fresh install: fresh install
ownCloud log (data/owncloud.log, see https://central.owncloud.org/t/how-to-find-webserver-or-oc-logfile-enable-php-logfile/808):
Owncloud log shows nothing, Webserver log only a successful request:

Special configuration (external storage, external authentication, reverse proxy, server-side-encryption):
none

Integrity status for oC9+

No errors have been found.

Before posting snip make sure that you're running the latest available version for your oC release: https://owncloud.org/changelog/

Please update to 9.1.1 first. If the issue is still persists please create a new thread and check other logfiles like the error log of apache etc. A "white page" means an internal server error which should be logged somewhere. This matching error is needed here to be able to help.
