yes, sorry, I did not say anything.

I was just trying to upload a large file (1.1 GB). it did not work, so I've been trying to change the upload size limit in oC to 5 Gb, but still did not work.

so I logged through FTP to oC folders just to check .htaccess and .user.ini . just to see and check that size max limit had been saved correctly. and yes. but I could not upload 1Gb file anyway.

so I've checked on my webhosting (infomaniak.ch) admin page if there was an option. and actually it looks like php file transfer is blocked at 1024 Mb. so I gave up.

before that, as I was trying to upload from desktop version, I think I tried to upload directly in the browser, and obviously it did not work either.

I probably mess up everything with these various logins from here and there trying different things.

about operating system, here is what I have from the webhosting.

and I know the oC version is missing, but I can't access any page from oC, including admin then.
but I can probably find it in some files through ftp.

Another question: Which database do you use? Your log is looking like you would have database problems.

it's actually weird, in PhpMyAdmin, I don't see any database related to oC.
I see some WP thing, some SPIP, but nothing about oC.

shouldn't it be there, with others databases?

You're probably using SQLite which is strongly discouraged to run ownCloud with.

it probably used SQLite, as I did not check about that during the configuration process (actually why the default database is the strongly discouraged one??)

now I gave up and tried to reinstall a new oC.
then created database and user in MySQL.
but it fails at some point, saying: "Error while trying to create admin user: Failed to connect to the database: An exception occured in driver: SQLSTATE[HY000] [2002] No such file or directory"

it looks like many people say that it's about having mysql_server installed.
but how can I do if it's a shared server then?

Because its easy to setup and to use. But there is a large warning about the drawbacks at the first installation as well as at various points of the documentation.

No idea about the further issue with MySQL. Please also create a new thread for this.
