Is there a guide for publishing apps to the app store?

The documentation tells a developer what they need to do and what standards they need to keep to get an app published in the app store. However, I cannot find a guide on how I go about publishing my app.

Is there a step-by-step guide somewhere? If not could somebody produce a HowTo that covers the following?

  • What are the mechanics of the process?
  • How do I upload my code?
  • I see some apps can be updated by clicking a button in the apps page of my OC instance, does this require special code, or is it automatic?

If not a HowTo, then maybe the documentation could be improved to describe the publishing process rather than just the publishing requirements?

(I wasn't sure what category to post this under, I couldn't find one for app development).

if the documentation is missing some info about the whole process you could also create a new feature request for the documentation here:

stating whats currently missing.

just have created a new app development category and put your thread there.

The links to https://central.owncloud.org/c/app-development seem to be broken, the links should be pointing to https://central.owncloud.org/c/development/app-development, which works fine.
