LDAP - E-Mail Adresses not synced

Symptom

The E-Mail Addresses from the LDAP (AD) Server are not synced to owncloud.

Environment

owncloud 10.x

Steps to reproduce

  1. Configure ownlcoud to connect to your AD server https://doc.owncloud.com/server/admin_manual/configuration/user/user_auth_ldap.html
  2. Go to the users list from the webUI
  3. Notice that the user’s email addresses are missing

Cause

The user’s email field is not set from the advanced settings.

Solution/Workaround

In order to sync the E-mail Address from your AD server to your ownCloud, you set the user’s Email field from the advanced settings.
After that you have to run the occ user:sync command to synchronise the users.
