I just thought I'd quickly post a fix to an issue I've been having.
Server : Debian 8
Owncloud Version : 10
Applience : Bitnami VM
LDAP Server : Open Directory on MacOS 10.10
Issue : LDAP Users can't login. Doesn't say wrong password, just won't login.
Resolution : After going through all the settings in the LDAP Plugin from the OC Market Place, found that I had to change the "User Display Name Field" in the "Advanced" Tab from Displayname (or whatever maybe default) to cn.
Hope this helps anyone else who might have this issue!
