Logging into OwnCloud for the first time

Hello, This is my first time with Owncloud.
I downloaded the Univention-App-owncloud-ESX.ova and Imported into VMware. I went through the setup and create a password. Once the system is started and configured I try to log in but can not get passed the login… Tried Administrator and password Admin and password ,admin, administrator, root…

I re imported the image twice more to see if I missed something on config.

you can either login with

Login: owncloud
Password: owncloud

or
Login: Administrator
Password: what you have chosen during setup.

Hi, Thanks for the response. I was able to log in with the suggested owncloud user and owncloud password.

The Administrator and the password I set up and install work for univention/portal/
but not /owncloud/login

I have the same problem you described in your post. I’m trying with owncloud/owncloud without result and with Administrator / the password I’ve set and it’s also failing (whereas I’m able to log using this Administrator thru the web access).

Do you have any clue of what can be done in my case?

i think you should create a new thread and mention your installation method / way because i don’t think that posting in a 5 years old thread (already tagged with a solution) from another user is a good thing. :frowning_face:

I have successfully installed ownCloud on an EC2 instance running apache. When the web interface is brought up for the first time, I’m prompted to create an admin user. I get notification that the user was created per the backend mySql database showing so, but an error occurs that the user doesn’t have access to the owncloud-db that I had created prior with another dba/admin account. Giving access to the web-created admin doesn’t help as re-running the same web submission creates another account with a “1” appended to the end. Should I delete the own cloud-db database that I manually created because it will be created on the initial web submission for the admin user?
