I like the build-in videoplayer in OC 9.1, I have been using it successfully to stream videos saved in the m4v container format, it works well for that. I've recently begun to save my video content using the Matroska MKV video container format, and the OC video player seems unable to stream that - it begins downloading the file instead.
I understand I could point a video player application at an OC hosted file using WebDAV, but that requires that the media file be "shared" from within OC, and it also requires a stand-alone media player app. I think it's a compelling use case, to stream directly a non-shared file with no requirements other than a modern web browser.
Is there any support planned for streaming MKV via the build in player? Thank you
