MP4 Video ist not playing Firefox

Steps to reproduce

  1. capture video with android smartphone > upload it to OC > video is loading and playing

  2. capture video with android smartphone and mirror it > upload it to OC > video is NOT loading and playing

Expected behaviour

By clicking the video firefox opens the video in mediaplayer.

Actual behaviour

By clicking the video the mediaplayer opens and stays with a big play-button. The video is not showing.

Insert your browser log here, this could for example include:

a) js console > no errors

b) network > "mimeType": "video/3gpp", !!!

  • This error appears in every Version of OC Server in at least branch 10

  • it’s always vanilla OC Server i’m using

  • the video is definitely encoded in mp4 h.264 and checked multiple times

  • the video is playable in firefox directly > Firefox > open File > mp4 video > correct result

  • the video is correctly playing in firefox > google drive
