Hi, very new to owncloud. I have 10000s of pictures already on the server that I just setup OwnCloud on. Is there a way I can just add them to OC without uploading them via the web interface? I did a quick test of just moving a file into the data/Pictures directory but it doesn't seem to show up in OC.
Shure, you can use youre SSH-Server via SFTP to move Files. Just upload them into a Folder anywhere you want and grand Permissions to the Webuser that heute can Access this Folder. Then add the Folder as "Local" Storage in External Storage at the Admininterface, typein the full path and select Users which can access the "External Storage".
If you do that, you will need to run a file scan via occ command.
