Notification depending on user and file/directory

This is not a bug report but a feature request. Maybe some app solves this already.

I would like to enable users to set traps on certain event. A user might want to know if a file or a file in an directory changes. He should be able to e.g. tag a file or a directory and receive a Mail if that event occurs.

The app activity doesn’t allow to be as finegrained, i.e. it does not differentiate by user or which file ist modified.

I think it’s best to set up a feature request in the activity repository at GitHub.
