OC icon move to the left after ubuntu update on 14.04 - regression from previous issue

I am running linux sync client version 2.2.4 on Ubuntu 14.04LTS

Steps to reproduce

  1. update your Ubuntu box

Expected behaviour
I have 2 Ubuntu boxes 14.04LTS, both run regular updates and about a week ago they both downloaded updates for the sync client.
The new version should have taken the previous settings and the changes should be transparent to the user.

Actual behaviour
In both Ubuntu 14.04LTS boxes the sync client is working well and inherited all the accounts and settings.
The only issue is that now the tray icon is not the tray anymore, but on the top left corner.
This was in issue observed last year, which I recall it was related with some conflict with the Qt version.
