OPensuse LEAP 42.1
After my last distribution update the owncloud sync client 2.2.4.13.2 x86_64 does not start anymore: Memory Access Error

xxx@osiris:~> owncloud

This is the same for KDE or XFCE-Desktop environment. I tried to downgrade to 2.2.4.1.1 x86_64 but same problem.

the packages are from: build.opensuse.org/isv:ownCloud

As i need it for a productive system some tips would be greatly appreciated. (Because of the Inability to upload folders with the web client)

Thank you!
Bret

P.S. the logfile only shows:

osiris kernel: Thread (pooled)[5931]: segfault at 7f758cf87570 ip 00007f7567fe4f8e sp 00007f7569612368 error 7 in libkdecore.so.5.14.24[7f7567f46000+2b0000]

Hi,

please report such issues happening after an update directly to the desktop sync client developers at:

https://github.com/owncloud/client/issues

Open Snapper, look after the wrong update and make a rollback of that:
https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Snapper_Tutorial

My hint: Use Snapper in YaST. You can see all changes there and why something was going wrong.

Has been submitted

Thank you for the hint, but at the time of installation btrfs was unusable... highly buggy

Does snapper support ext4? Yes, but only experimentally and you need a special kernel and e2fsprogs.

You are right. Snapper supports only Btrfs on the / system at the moment. I thought you would use the standard system setup.
